Govt Announces Minor Change in Petroleum Prices | Petrol Unchanged, Diesel Up

Islamabad (September 2025): The federal government has announced a minor revision in petroleum prices for the second half of September 2025. According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the price of petrol remains unchanged, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has been slightly increased.

Updated Petroleum Prices (Effective September 16, 2025)

  • Petrol: Rs. 264.61 per litre (unchanged)

  • High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Rs. 272.77 per litre (+Rs. 2.78)

Previous Review (September 1, 2025)

In the last fortnightly review, the government had:

  • Cut HSD prices by Rs. 3, fixing them at Rs. 269.99 per litre.

  • Maintained petrol price at Rs. 264.61 per litre.

  • Reduced kerosene oil by Rs. 1.46 to Rs. 176.81 per litre.

  • Reduced light diesel oil by Rs. 2.40 to Rs. 159.76 per litre.
